There are multiple articles and research that you can find about meditation and gamma waves, one of them being about Tibetan Monks who train and meditate all their life. when doing FMRI on their brains during meditation, it was possible to see that the most advanced monks in meditation are creating a lot of brainwaves in the gamma range, whereas novice monks would create them in much lower amounts, this means everyone can with enough practice reach these levels.
The reason behind our 25-minute meditations is that our program has taken the next step and added brainwave entraining gamma waves in the form of a binaural audio stimulus directly into every sound you hear. It works just like exercise when training your body. And just like with exercise, it takes time to get used to something new, therefore we designed the level system where we gradually increase the strength of the waves so that you are benefited more and more as you advance.
Although people can reach such meditation levels with common meditation techniques, but these take a long time to practice. That is the reason why Synctuition uses a guided audio stimulus in the journeys so that your brain receives that extra help for working itself up towards that level.
The relationship between meditation effectiveness and its time duration has been well-studied in science. One of these studies demonstrates that for anyone who is not particularly advanced in deeper forms of meditation, the minimum effective dose is actually much lower (Hindman 2013). It is considered that in order to have the most effect, an average meditation session should be 20-30 minutes in duration (Basso et al. 2019; Prasad et al. 2011; Wenk-Sormaz 2005). In their research Prasad (Prasad et al. 2011) showed that already 15 minutes of meditation once or twice a day assisted in improving overall quality of life and brought about significant reductions in stress and anxiety.
